I have horrible default ringtone, which is marked as "in ROM" as can be seen in the media file's properties, so normal file managers don't allow me to rename it (and swap with a good ringtone). I can set a custom ringtone in options, but the phone tends to reset it to default.

How do I override this restriction?

If this question isn't relevant to this site, please point me in the direction of the better fitting SE site, or if you have an external link with answer, please share it with me.
