I am using an HTC 8s phone. I have installed whatsapp on it.

I wanted to know if there is any way I can silence it, meaning I don't want my phone to buzz every time I receive a message, this feature was present in my previous phone ( android ).

Is this possible in windows 8 phone ?

Do you want to cancel the whatsapp notifications? Or do you still want to receive them but not have it buzz. – Joe Healy Jan 8 at 23:10

You can't turn off buzz but you can turn off sound under settings/sound. You might want to request 'debuzz' as a feature using one of the feedback routes I've listed at dfwiki.devfish.net/technology.Microsoft-feedback-routes.ashx . – Joe Healy Jan 10 at 16:46
