Windows Phone Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for enthusiasts and power users of Windows Phone OS. It's 100% free, no registration required.

In my company, we changed our email hosting provider.
The username used to send and receive mail is not the same.

With Outlook or Thunderbird, no problem. We just have to change the username into the account settings.
But with Windows phone, changing the username display a mesage saying the current account will be deleted and recreated.
I tested a I confirm : every locally stored emails are deleted.
Interestingly, iPhones have exactly the same problem.

A turnaround is to create a second account. But the first account keep complaining about the fact the server can't be reached, or something similar (I set the check frequency to manual).
And this is ugly.

I search a way to change some/all email settings without the account being deleted.
Any idea ?
