I wanted to uninstall apps like OneNote, Outlook, Groove Music, etc. because I need more space to install an update, and my phone doesn't have it.

I've full STP access, and I've interop-unlocked my Lumia.

Can you please help me?

Thanks in advance

  • What's the build number you are currently using?

  • While it's probably possible to do this without breaking the system in some way, you'd be better off freeing up space some other way (for example, by moving apps / content to SD, or temporarily removing an email account). Also, the phone uses different partitions for user data and OS installation, although updates probably do get downloaded to the user partition (which is the only one you can control the amount of free space on unless you get really messy with the file system).

Try this:

  1. Go to Settings >> Device >> Storage >> [phone or SDcard] >> Apps and Games
  2. Find the specific app, and uninstall it from there.

Let us know if that worked for you, good luck!

  • OP says system apps! Do you think this would work? IMO, system apps can't be uninstalled!
