Apps can be launched from the browser via uri protocol activation. For example, if you were to visit bingmaps:?cp=40.726966~-74.006076 in Edge on the phone (or Internet Explorer 11 on Windows Phone 8.1), it would instead redirect and open the maps app. For this to work for LinkedIn; they would need to have implemented protocol activation, and have their ...

In addition to what @Indrek said in his answer, there is an additional workaround. You can use tools like Edge Manage in PC to edit bookmarks, folders, etc... and sync them back to your phone. This may be a bit of work but it provides additional functionalities like local backup of bookmarks. Although it requires the use of a PC it may be highly useful when ...

Unfortunately it seems that currently the answer to both of your questions is, you can't. It's not possible to edit the URL of a favourite. As a workaround, you can open the favourite, change the URL in the address bar, add that back to favourites and then delete the old one. It also doesn't look like you can add the target of a link directly to favourites (...

This is because in Google services, pdf files are opened as a preview within the website by their services and is not displayed by the browser. It appears as a pop-up in the websites. This is similar to a web app. Microsoft Edge mobile version cannot render that type of web pages it seems. The best way is to download the pdf and view it Edge or in another ...

Windows 10 Mobile (and its built-in applications, including Edge) sadly stopped receiving feature updates years ago, and thus never got a version of Edge that supports extensions. You can find alternative web browser apps in the store, some of which include functionality that you might normally get from an extension (such as ad blocking, user-agent switching,...

No, Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 Mobile does not support any kind of add-ons and unfortunately won't ever receive such features since the development & support of W10M has stopped.

No. There isn't any app for that. The tile itself is created in a such way that it would pick the up the image whatever the site has and will assign it as tile image. For example if you pin the stack exchange site to start screen. The default stack exchange logo will appear on tile.

You could try the following to set the text size back to normal: Go to Settings > Ease of Access > More options > Text Scaling. Move the slider to change the font size and see which settings works perfectly on the browser. Go to Settings > Display > Size of text, apps and items on this display. Move the slider and see which setting is perfect....

If you see videos not playing in Microsoft Edge, or any client that shows videos, its a storage space issue. Apparently the operating system storage space, specifically the phone's memory in order to playback videos. I suspect you have little space in your phone memory (<100mb) Whenever my on-board storage goes below 80 megabytes, the same issues you ...
