As of the writing of this, pattern unlock isn't supported on Windows Phone. The only option for protecting your phone is currently a PIN code.

Windows 10 Mobile rolling out started on March 17th 2016. Sadly, the Lumia 525 is not in the list for the upgrade. Hopefully it will be in second phase.

It is not possible to delete the Microsoft account that was used to set up your phone. You will need to reset your phone and set it up again with another account. Which will lose all your apps, music, etc. Hopefully this problem will be fixed in Windows 10 for phones.
Apps and the OS cannot send SMS without user interaction - the only thing an app can do is compose an SMS for you, but it is up to the user to actually press send. Couple of things to try before you reinstall whatsapp.
Check Battery Saver and verify Whatsapp is Allowed to run in background.
Restarting the phone once to see if it solves the problem.
If not, try reinstalling Whatsapp once. Dont forget to take a backup of messages in Whatsapp -> settings
Sharing the store link is the easiest way as you can't transfer an app and app-data through bluetooth, wifi etc.
You could make a full device backup on one phone and restore it on another after a hard reset. This way you can copy some of the app data (depending on how the developer saved your data) to another device.
Try to re-install it.. It worked fine on mine... Delete -> Reboot -> Fresh Install .. Remeber its Windows ;)

your contacts are all backed up on cloud by default (I think). to double check, go to pc login to outlook and check you contacts are there....then there shouldn't be any problems when you reset your phone...just make sure your apps+settings, text messages and photos+videos are backed up. settings>backup.
Its (unofficially) rumoured the Windows 10 Mobile update is going to be released today (March 17). On top of that, the first wave of the update is going to affect a specific set of devices, including the 640, 640XL, and 430..etc

Currently it is possible to receive/send audio clips on Whatsapp. If the audio clip is an uploaded file (such as mp3 song) then it will be saved in SDcard/Phone -> Pictures -> Whatsapp. You can also find it in Music player. The name of the file usually starts with "AUD" followed by date and time.

Don't worry. I have experienced it before, until I found that you just have to wait. Turn your data connection on (in my case, wifi) and wait for a couple of seconds until the app synchronises. Then, the delete option will become available. Try it.

First, what you are hearing is because of the Speech setting available in the Windows Phone.
You can turn on this feature from the Settings>speech. From here you can choose how the speech function should work for your phone. Also you can choose the type of voice (female/male) which you want to hear for the speech function.

I faced the same issue, and then I have removed the security WPA2 and just configured it as a open connection and then I was able to connect my Nokia Lumia 1020.
Looks like Windows mobile 8.1 is not able to communicate with Mac's Wifi when security/encryption is enabled.
